’d been fighting with my old keypad bolt lock that was chewing through batteries, so I decided to upgrade to something with NFC and fingerprint support. The LNDU Smart Lock HK01 is unquestionably one of the best options in its category. It’s advertised to run for eight months on a set of batteries—which sounds almost too good to be true—but I put only four AAAs in and it’s still going strong. The extra four AAAs that come with it are really just a backup, since it runs perfectly fine on just four.
Installation was a breeze—if your door already has a standard bolt lock, you won’t need any extra drilling or modifications. I literally swapped the old lock for this one and it fit right in. I did run into a minor hiccup with the lock mechanism itself, but when I reached out to the seller they responded immediately and shipped me a replacement part. Super fast turnaround.
One thing to note: the front and back units are paired as a set, so if you ever need to swap one, you’ll have to replace both together to keep them in sync. Setting it up in the app was smooth on my iPhone thanks to Apple HomeLink. There’s an Android app, too, but it’s a bit buggy—you actually need an iPhone to register the master lock first, and then the Android app will work fine. The product listing doesn’t mention that, but once you know the trick it’s easy.
Overall, I’m really happy with how it looks—it feels expensive—and the multiple unlocking options (key, NFC card, iPhone tap, fingerprint) make everyday use super convenient. Highly recommended if you want a smart lock that just works without constant battery changes.

Installation was going great until we got to putting the back part on the inside of the door. The screws are so tiny and black and the lock is black we could not see or engage the screw!!! This was such a pain and took us about an hour to figure out an alternative. Otherwise we are loving this lock. The fingerprint option is easy to open and quick! So many options and works well! Warning 8 batteries are required which is a lot!
